The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, detention centers, and client transportation.

The Vänersborg area consists of two prisons in Vänersborg and a detention center in Uddevalla. Östragård Prison is an open facility with room for 192 clients. Brinkeberg Prison is a closed facility with space for 144, and the detention center in Uddevalla has 57 places. We are a diverse organization, and we employ prison officers, administrators, nurses, chefs, teachers, production managers, and various other professionals. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a cleaner for Brinkeberg Prison and another for Östragård Prison. You will be responsible for the cleaning of all facilities included in the position. The employment will start with a one-week introduction, after which you will work independently.

The job as a cleaner involves cleaning the prison's entrance areas, corridors, administrative offices, activity rooms, staff areas, and other relevant facilities.

You will work in an environment where our clients move relatively freely. You will also be responsible for ensuring that clients have access to the cleaning materials required to maintain their living quarters and common areas in good hygienic order. The work includes planning and executing orders for materials for the entire prison. Some guidance in cleaning for clients may also be included.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are attentive, service-oriented, and perform your tasks in a careful, structured, and systematic manner. Your personal qualities are very important, and we are looking for someone who is flexible, has good collaboration skills, but also the ability to work independently and take initiative. You feel a responsibility for the facilities and work environment and make ongoing assessments regarding the need for various work efforts.

It is important for us that you share the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's fundamental values of a humane view of humanity, respect for the individual, and belief in the human will and ability to develop. You are also aware of and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect yourself and others. We are looking for someone who has:

• Work experience as a cleaner
• Relevant education in cleaning
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing
• Computer skills

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience within the prison and probation service or another similar institution
• Driver's license (B)
